Dorothy Bowman is a pioneer of serigraphy-her work began in 1953. A Los Angeles Gallery Dealer, Oscar Salzar distributed the serigrahes from coast to coast for 35 years. These were bought by collage students to private collectors. Over the years their children write for additional prints for thier homes and collections as they have grown-up with the prints on their walls. These prints are now Limited. The serigraphs became part of permanent collections in over 54 Museum and University collections. Also, over 2,000 private collections-Six in the Library of Congress. Ten years after winning national prizes from the United States. Dorothy Bowman's work gained international attention. Show's, books and newspaper write-up international national was the result of her touring show's and her prize winning. Today, she is published in Italy, France, England and Germany with her extensive biographical achievements. She has also for 40 years raised six creative, talented children.
